The Fishmonger

Description
This city has always lived by the water. Long before the tech campuses and the condo towers, Seattle was a working waterfront. The salmon ran thick in Puget Sound. The fishing boats came in heavy. The fishmongers were loud, proud, and completely at home on the edge of the water.
This vintage woodcut illustration captures that Seattle — the one that existed before anyone called it an “emerging market.” A fishmonger mid-throw, salmon flying, seagulls watching, the skyline rising behind him like it always has. Salt air and sawdust. The real thing.
